Annual Percentage Rate (APR) Disclosure

APR Range: 5.99% to 35.99%

The Annual Percentage Rate (APR) is the annual cost of your loan, including interest and fees, expressed as a percentage. The actual APR offered to you will depend on:

  • Your credit history and credit score
  • The requested loan amount
  • The loan term length
  • Your income and employment status
  • State law requirements

The lowest rates are typically offered to consumers with excellent credit who qualify for the largest loans with the longest terms.

Loan Fee Disclosure

Lenders may charge the following fees:

  • Origination Fee: 0% to 8% of loan amount (where permitted by law)
  • Late Payment Fee: Up to $25 or 5% of scheduled payment
  • Returned Payment Fee: Up to $30
  • Early Repayment: NO prepayment penalty - you can pay off your loan early without extra fees

Not all lenders charge all fees. Review your loan agreement carefully for specific fee information.

Credit Impact Disclosure

Soft Credit Pull: When you submit an application, lenders may perform a soft credit inquiry that does NOT affect your credit score.

Hard Credit Pull: If you accept a loan offer, lenders will perform a hard credit inquiry that MAY affect your credit score and remain on your credit report for up to 2 years.

Reporting: Most lenders report payment history to credit bureaus. On-time payments can help build your credit, while late or missed payments can negatively impact your credit score.

State-Specific Disclosures

Loan terms and availability vary by state. Some states have specific regulations:

  • California: Loans made pursuant to a California Financing Law license.
  • Ohio: Loans made by third-party lenders subject to Ohio laws.
  • Texas: Loans made by third-party lenders subject to Texas laws.
  • Florida: Loans made by third-party lenders licensed under Florida law.

Not all lenders operate in all states. Please check with individual lenders for state-specific availability and terms.

Collection Practices

If you fail to repay your loan according to its terms, lenders may:

  • Report your delinquency to credit bureaus, which may negatively impact your credit score
  • Charge late fees and interest on past-due amounts
  • Transfer your account to a collection agency
  • Take legal action to recover the amount owed (where permitted by law)

Lenders are required to follow fair debt collection practices as outlined in the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).

Short-Term Loan Warning

Short-term loans should be used for short-term financial needs only, not as a long-term financial solution.

Consumers experiencing credit difficulties should seek credit counseling from a qualified credit counseling organization.
